What is going well for you in American Literature so far?

What are your greatest challenges in this class?

What I can do to be a better teacher to you?

American Lit is going well. There isn't very much busy work which is nice. It's nice to know that we are tying in other pieces of literature to class. I don't think there are many challenges in class. You are doing great mrs. Leclaire! And thanks for asking.

All is well and I am very content. The level of difficulty is very manageable and the workload is easy to handle as well.

I think that everything is going great in the class. We have a decent amount of homework that is very easy to manage. Everything’s good I don't think anything needs to change.

It's all going good. One thing i especially like is how we relate our unit, and current topics to music and movies. It helps me understand better, and it's more interesting to discuss.

It is going quite swell and I love that you do not give us busy work. I also like that you have us do different activities and mix up the variety of activities for things such as vocab. It makes it more interesting to learn about.

This was a very confusing story. Edgar Allen Poe writes extremewly long sentences and it is quite difficult to keep up with them. My one question is about Roderick Usher's sister. Wasn't she alive towards the beginning of the story and supposedly had a disease of some sot. Then the story ends with her coffin and corpse. Could someone clarify on what actually happened?

What is insest, what so family members are marrieing each other. I read some where that insest causes birth defects that might be the reason wh that guy is so sick.

This comment goes back to Whitney's question. Do you think Poe created the image that everyone has of haunted houses? I have to say, that when i see or hear something anywhere, i sometines alter or change my opnion on it. We see it a different way, either a good way, or a bad way. Relates back to the unit we taked about and the effect movies and media have on us.

I agree with Eva. I found his writing confusing and had trouble understanding the story. Why would he be so afraid of the house? Did something happen to him when he was younger that made him scared?

Incest is where the members of a family have sex with each other. and yes, the lack of genetic varition does cause birth defects
